Project Description

With the Open Water Instuctor course you will achieve the maximum professional degree within recreational diving, officially recognized as a sports instructor and you will expand your work possibilities and can work in any diving center anywhere in the world.
You can teach courses from Discover Scuba to Assistent Instructor, and other specialty trainings that do not need additional training for instructors.
The candidate will have to participate as an assistant, under the supervision of his Instructor Trainier, during at least 20 hours of theoretical classes and 20 hours of practical classes with real students.
The candidate will have to participate as a listener in courses from OWD to Assistent Instructor and to teach, under the supervision of an Instructor Trainer, some classes in these courses.
This course consists of 72 teaching hours between theoretical and practical divided into 16 sessions of 4.5 hours, to be able to have the afternoons free to study and prepare the homework of the course. It also includes marine biology training given by a biologist an oceanographer.
Through tutoring you can interact with both your instructor and the other students of the course to be able to present doubts.
The evaluation of the course will be face-to-face at the end of the theoretical and practical part that will last for 2 days.
In the practical part, 6 dives will be done to work the most important parts of the practical sessions of the courses from OWD to Divemaster.
Optionally you can attend as an observer of a real course of OWD taught on 19, 20 and 21 April 2019.
The practical evaluation in the water is included within 12 hours of evaluation and the student must overcome the challenges and skills required.
